Lunch, whenever you get here

The table makes a good case for letting lunch run on. Four upholstered chairs gather beside the deep window reveal, close enough to the kitchen for conversation to survive the cooking. A clear strip of floor runs past the oven and sink. The broad pendant gives the table its own light, and the sideboard takes the spare bowls and plates between meals. Rough stone and the overhead beam supply plenty of texture; plain cream cupboards give the working side a calmer background.
