A definite end wall
One dark wall creates a point of focus at the end of the entrance. Pale side walls keep the contrast contained.

ROOM 53 · Other
A compact postwar entrance with a doorway into the main living space.
Keys need a stopping place before they reach the kitchen. The red drawer gives this narrow entrance one, with a mirror above and the floor left open below.

Black is confined to the end wall, leaving the side walls pale. The Almora mirror supplies a circular form above the straight drawer, while reflected light keeps that dark surface from becoming a blank stop.
The drawer leaves the floor visible and gives small arrivals somewhere to land. A hook and runner complete the practical arrangement. The mirror is the catalogue reference; the floating storage and remaining accessories are styling.
WHY THE ROOM WORKS
One dark wall creates a point of focus at the end of the entrance. Pale side walls keep the contrast contained.
The round mirror and long drawer have distinct outlines. Their shared centre gives the small arrangement balance.
The floating drawer provides a single strong band of colour. Its role as storage makes that accent useful.
Open space beneath the drawer keeps the narrow entrance legible. Any wall-mounted storage needs fixings suitable for its load and wall construction.
A hook, small tray and usable mirror support daily coming and going. Keep those functions clear before adding decorative objects.
WHAT TO BORROW
Choose one wall to organise a small entrance. A mirror, landing surface and place for an everyday coat can do more than several scattered storage pieces.
