The room that grows up with them

Sky blue, yellow stripes and an exuberant sea-turtle print
A full-size timber bed and a useful desk give this children’s room staying power. Blue walls, yellow stripes and colourful sea-turtle art supply the part that can keep changing.

A room can feel young without making every piece of furniture age-specific. The Bali single bed and matching desk establish a straightforward foundation here, with books close to the pillow and two drawers beside the working space.
Sea Turtle provides the exuberance. Its orange, pink and turquoise marks sit against calmer sky-blue paint, leaving plenty of room for books, models and later interests. The yellow bedding and curtain carry one clear colour through the room.

Let the wall art be bold
A lively print gives the room personality without tying the bed or storage to a passing theme. It hangs beside the bed rather than over the pillow.
Keep the larger pieces simple
Straight timber furniture and a natural rug leave the more colourful details room to change. The room can grow without needing a complete new set.
WHAT TO BORROW
Spend on the bed and working space first. Let art, bedding and the objects on the shelves tell you whose room it is.
