Cream upholstery, chestnut wood and a line of blue
A chaise takes up a fair amount of floor. Here it earns the space: there is somewhere to put your feet up, a chair for company and a clear way past both. The pale upholstery leaves the blue line in the artwork unusually visible.

The sofa is the largest decision in this room. Its long outline needs a substantial table within reach, but another upholstered seat of the same weight would make the group cumbersome. Cane and darker timber give the chair a more open shape.
Above the sofa, Scribbles introduces blue without committing the whole room to it. Moss returns in the cushions. The chestnut table has drawers and an open shelf for the small things that otherwise stay on top; the picture and patterned rug can supply most of the decoration.

A little colour travels
