Storage begins with the bed
The Aspire frame has concealed ottoman storage beneath the mattress platform. Keeping its exterior simple avoids adding another large storage piece to the middle of the room.

ROOM 41 · Bedroom
An imagined single-storey suburban home with a broad garden-facing window.
The half-read book and the jumper that can be worn again need somewhere to go. This bedroom leaves useful surfaces beside the bed and puts the spare bedding underneath it.

Bedrooms accumulate the evidence of a day surprisingly quickly: the jumper that can be worn again, the book that is half finished, the spare bedding with nowhere convenient to live. This room begins by finding places for those things. Its calm comes from a few useful pieces, supported by colours and textures that are pleasant to wake up beside.
The white Aspire ottoman frame combines a slatted headboard with a solid, panelled lower outline. The selected super king size takes a 180 by 200cm mattress, so the imagined room gives it proper space on both sides and at the foot. Hidden storage beneath the mattress platform keeps extra bedding close. The mattress itself is a separate purchase.
Two Iya bedside tables introduce reclaimed timber at hand height. Their open shelves can take a book without using the whole top, and the Thottam wall lamps keep their bases off the tables entirely. The lamps plug into sockets, so their leads are part of the arrangement. They are off in the daylight image.
The broad Denver chest adds eight drawers without a busy pattern of handles. Against a pale wall its simple front is less insistent than the timber beside the bed. A sage Peplu quilt supplies the smaller pattern: quiet lines that reward a closer look. Plain bedding, the fitted carpet and the window treatment complete the styling and are not included with the furniture selections.
There is enough softness here to make the bed the place you want to reach. There is also enough storage to keep a clear patch beside it. That combination matters more at the end of a long day than another perfectly positioned cushion.
WHY THE ROOM WORKS
The Aspire frame has concealed ottoman storage beneath the mattress platform. Keeping its exterior simple avoids adding another large storage piece to the middle of the room.
The Iya tables leave space for a book and a drink. Wall-mounted lamps free up their tops, while the open shelves give small bedtime things a second place to land.
The quilt, plain bedding and carpet offer different surfaces where people sit, sleep and put their feet down. A small colour range need not make them feel identical.
White vertical slats give the bed definition against the warmer wall. The headboard makes a gentle rhythm above the pillows, while the solid lower frame keeps the outline simple.
Eight flush drawers gather clothes behind one plain white rectangle. Its pale finish lets the more tactile bedside timber remain the room's warmer note.
WHAT TO BORROW
Clear one bedside surface and give the displaced things a permanent home. The result should survive the first evening you actually use the room.

White timber with storage beneath
Aspire combines a simple slatted headboard and panelled footboard with lift-up ottoman storage. The selected white painted solid-wood frame is Super King, for a 180 x 200cm mattress; its overall dimensions are listed at approximately 190W x 210L x 102H cm. Powder blue, crisp linen and a petrol quilt give the traditional lines a fresh setting. This is the frame-only selection: mattress, bedding and bedside furniture are not included.

Eight drawers behind a quiet white front
Denver keeps its storage straightforward: eight handleless drawers arranged in two columns, with recessed finger channels and a broad top for a lamp or a few favourite objects. The white engineered-wood chest measures 120cm wide, 40cm deep and 95.5cm high. A forest-green wall gives its clean edges definition, while terracotta linen and a blue glass vase add warmth and colour.
