Out Of My Shell

By removing any singular focal point or horizon line, the image functions similarly to a mid-century abstract monochrome canvas, celebrating pure repetition and form. The artwork generates extraordinary tactile appeal through its high-contrast play of light and shadow, which sharpens the ribbed ridges and fractured edges of each individual shell fragment. The monochromatic, chalk-white and stone-grey palette emphasizes the physical topography of the surface over color, evoking an archival sense of ancient history.
