Why we chose it
Van Gogh's Self Portrait brings a concentrated human subject to our book-lined landing. Beside the softer horizon of Quiet Valley, it gives the collected wall a change of focus and visual weight.

More product details
Copper beard, sallow skin, and the tailored coat are built from short, rhythmic strokes that shimmer against the cool background. Thick impasto swirls soften toward the edges, letting negative space breathe. Subtle lilac shadows carve the cheekbones and ear. The entire vertical composition feels alive with motion, yet the figure remains eerily still.Near the jacket lapel, cobalt outlines echo the backdrop, tying foreground and field together. Every stroke tilts slightly upward, guiding the viewer toward the temples where light thins the paint. The palette lives in the realm of blue tone wall art, yet flashes of terracotta and sage provide contrast.
