Why we chose it
A painted metal sunflower is a cheerful departure from the usual fabric-shaded lamp. We chose this vintage Italian piece for its tall stem, green leaves and unembarrassed yellow petals, which give it interest even when switched off. The retailer dates it to the 1970s and notes wear, rewiring and a missing screw cap; those condition details matter when choosing a vintage light.

Design reference: Painted metal petals and a glowing centre make this a wonderfully individual light beside an otherwise quiet sofa. An individual vintage listing; availability can change.
