Read the Room Study →A field of searing tangerine spreads across the square surface, scraped like fresh pigment over steel. Fine teal abrasions peek through the upper corners, giving the abstract wall art a weathered industrial texture.
A narrow horizontal seam about one-third from the base suggests layered paint and timeworn metal. Beneath that seam, a deeper vermilion band glows, anchoring the composition. Thin translucent veils allow faint blue-green streaks to surface, adding depth to the print. Edges reveal small chips where orange yields to cool gray, heightening contrast. Hung large, the square format turns pure color into architecture.Fiery pigment and minimalist composition connect directly with Hankins’ fascination for color-field studies. Denver artist Jared Hankins art prints often move between photoreal oil work and pared-down abstraction, letting texture tell the story.
