Shape provides the decoration
The oval top, cylindrical base and curved chair arms establish a quiet sequence of rounded forms. They remain distinct because the chair frames are open and the table support is gathered at the centre.

ROOM 26 · Dining Room
Architect-designed garden home · Open dining space
A table beside broad glazing will collect breakfast dishes and paperwork as readily as dinner guests. This oval one leaves a route around its ends, with four open-framed chairs keeping the garden visible. The pale floor continues through the dining area without a rug edge.
See the product sourcesTHE DESIGN
The table is shown extended from a 110cm circle to a 150cm oval in the retailer's pictured Style 1 configuration. Its walnut-effect surface is engineered wood. A central storage pedestal leaves the ends clear, and the four chairs shown come from a set of six.
A compact reeded sideboard sits against the solid wall for the things that need to stay nearby. One fluted-glass pendant lights the table without filling the view above it. Side glazing and the rooflight give the furniture enough daylight for the grain, fabric and glass to remain distinct.
WHY THE ROOM WORKS
The oval top, cylindrical base and curved chair arms establish a quiet sequence of rounded forms. They remain distinct because the chair frames are open and the table support is gathered at the centre.
The chairs sit along the sides of the oval. Clear ends make the path past the table easier to read and keep the dining group from becoming a barrier.
Side light picks out the upholstery weave, timber grain and glass fluting. The rooflight adds a second direction of light, so the pale architecture has depth rather than becoming a blank white backdrop.
The darker table stands apart from the chalk walls and pale floor. Colour beyond the glazing can change with the garden without needing a matching accent indoors.
The small vase leaves most of the tabletop available. Keep the sideboard usable too: its storage earns the space more than a permanent arrangement of ornaments would.
WHAT TO BORROW
Check the route around an extended table with the chairs occupied. A clear floor and open chair backs can make that working arrangement look lighter.

A rounded table with room for the everyday extras
A walnut-effect finish and curved storage pedestal make this table an inviting centre for a dining nook. The selected Style 1 images show a 110cm round top extending to a 150cm oval, with a shelf concealed inside the fluted base. We have styled that pictured configuration with simple upholstered chairs. Some listing details describe a different base, so confirm the Style 1 storage pedestal and dimensions with the seller before ordering. Chairs and accessories are styling props.

Curved padded arms above an open wooden frame
The curved back and padded arms create a continuous line, with an open gap above the separate seat cushion keeping the silhouette light. Dark wooden legs and the muted camel fabric look especially good against forest green and walnut. This link selects the fabric version in Camel, sold as a set of six; two chairs are shown in the styling image. Check the retailer's full dimensions and the arm clearance beneath your table. The table, flowers and other accessories are styling props.
